Dr. V.P Singh is a popular Neurosurgeon in India. He has more than 30 years of experience and specializes in epilepsy surgery, brain tumour surgery and cerebrovascular surgery. Doctor Singh is currently the chairman of the Institute of Neuroscience in Medanta, Medicity, Gurugram, India. He has published more than 70 scientific papers in different medical journals.
Dr. Singh graduated with an MBBS from the All India Institute of Medical Science(AIIMS), New Delhi, in 1982. He then completed an MCH from the same AIIMS in 1987 and a DNB from the National Board of Examinations in 1989.
Dr. Singh started his career at AIIMS by initiating the Gamma Knife Unit and epilepsy surgery program. He worked as a senior Consultant at VIMHANS, New Delhi and Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. The Neurosurgeon has performed more than 400 cerebral aneurysm surgeries.
He is actively involved in treating arteriovenous malformations using radiosurgery techniques. Dr. V.P. Singh's constant dedication to neurosurgery and patient care has earned him a prestigious position in the medical field.
He won an award for best student in Anatomy, MBBS.
He had secured a second position at Delhi University in B.Sc.
He was given the Best Paper award at the 4th & 7th Annual Indian Epilepsy Association Conference twice.
He got a Diploma of merit for an excellent poster at the 3rd Asian Conference of Neurological Surgeons Nagoya.
